Office of Adult Students & Extended Services (OASES)
OASES is committed to supporting and enhancing the education experiences of the adult learner. Stake your claim in an OASES of opportunity for adult students including:
- Adult Student Orientation – Gain valuable information about being a student again, campus resources, scholarships, and more.
- Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society – Join other adult students and celebrate your academic success.
- Scholarships – Review the variety of scholarship opportunities. Over $100,000 was awarded last year to adult and non-traditional students.
- Social & Educational Programming/Events – Meet other adult and non-traditional students just like you and learn about resources and tips for academic success.
University Career Center (UCC)
UCC offers resources to help develop professional skills and connect with employers including:

The UCAE offers free services to help students develop academic success skills and master course content including:
Writing Resources Center (WRC)
The Writing Resources Center (WRC) offers one-to-one writing instruction to students with the goal of developing students into better writers. The WRC provides consultation on plagiarism, proper documentation, assistance with grammar, mechanics, and other features of writing.
Mathematics Learning Center (MLC)
The Mathematics Learning Center (MLC) provides specialized tutoring for mathematics and statistics courses on a “drop-in” basis.
Office of Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services works to ensure that students with disabilities have access to education and campus life at UNC Charlotte. Through collaboration with the institution’s diverse community, Disability Services facilitates accommodations, discourse, and engagement to promote a universally accessible learning environment for all.
